Virginia Women in Wine Trail – Registration
Virginia Women in Wine Trail
Meet the Women Winemakers, Growers, and Leaders of the Birthplace of American Wine
List your Winery/Cidery or Meadery
All Virginia wineries, cideries, and meaderies are invited to join the inaugural Virginia Women in Wine Trail – a groundbreaking celebration of women in Virginia’s wine industry during Women’s History Month! We’re bringing together wineries across the state to showcase the incredible women behind Virginia wines – from winemakers and growers to owners and industry leaders.
You create the events, specials, and offers, and we’ll help you promote it. Together, we’ll create unforgettable experiences that connect wine enthusiasts directly with the talented women who craft the wines they love, while making March a month to remember in Virginia Wine Country.
What’s the cost? FREE for VA Women in Wine Industry Organization-level members and only $100 for non-members. (Non-members: Join here for just $250/year and you’ll get FREE participation in this event!)
What do participating wineries receive?
- Comprehensive digital marketing toolkit with graphics and promotional materials
- Virginia Women in Wine Trail Card Maps for visitors
- Custom outdoor signage to increase visibility before and during March
- Featured presence on VWW’s website and social media platforms
- Support through our extensive media campaign

What’s special about this Wine Trail? This consumer-focused celebration coincides with the release of our groundbreaking white paper, “Closing the Gender Gap in Winemaking” and our 2025 Trailblazers Award. Participating wineries will have creative freedom to showcase their unique stories while following our helpful guidelines for creating memorable experiences.
The Trail will culminate in our signature celebration, the Trailblazer Bash, where industry leaders, media, and wine enthusiasts will gather at the Stable at Bluemont Vineyards to toast Virginia’s women in wine.
Who will this reach? Our targeted marketing campaign will reach wine enthusiasts across Virginia, Maryland, DC, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina, with a special focus on engaging female wine consumers who drive wine-buying decisions and weekend activities. Participating wineries can expect to welcome 50-100 additional guests throughout the month.
What are the event dates? March 14-31.
What are the requirements for participating? Plan one or more women-themed activities for one or more days between March 14-31.
What’s the deadline to sign up? Submit a COMPLETE registration by February 10, including your event description/s and date/s, to be listed on the event website, be listed on the printed Wine Trail Card Map, receive printed copies of the Wine Trail Card Map, receive 5 Trail Lawn Signs, and be included in social media. If you miss that deadline, you can still register until March 13 and your info will be included on the VWW website event page.
VWW Industry Organization members (wineries/cideries/meaderies) participate for free. Non-members can participate for $100.
How can I sponsor this event? There are two options. Signature Sponsors, please email Nancy Bauer at info@virginiawomeninwine.com. Event Sponsors may sign up, provide your logo, and pay the fee when you complete the Participation Form.
