This unique exhibition showcases the works of all-female local artists—Ellen Fairchild-Flugel, Rachel Fitzsimmons, and Shawna Marsh. Each artist brings her own perspective to the theme of feminine artistic concepts and abstract expressions, with a special focus on historical imagery. - Meet the Beekeeper Tour: Stop by Thistlerock Mead Company for a Meet the Beekeeper – tour with Allison Wickham, Co-owner and Director of Apiary Operations at Thistlerock Mead Company. Three tours available (no reservation needed) – join them March 14th, 15th, or 16th from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Tavern. You will leave from the tavern and walk down to the bees (weather permitting) then head back into the tavern for a sample and tavern tour. Spend an hour with the head beekeeper for a fast-growing meadery in Charlottesville. Allison will walk the group down to the bee yard (weather permitting, safe distances), explaining the dynamics of honey production and how that leads to mead production.
